We are sure you slept well this chilly night. There is an abundant breakfast already on your table. Today's plan is to visit Plitvice lakes. The most important thing is not to forget your cameras and sports outfit!
Plitvice Lakes National Park is the oldest national park in Southeast Europe and the largest national park in Croatia. The national park was founded in 1949 and is situated in the mountainous karst area of central Croatia. In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list among the first natural sites worldwide.
The national park is world famous for its lakes arranged in cascades. There are 16 interlinked lakes for you to see.
The highest waterfalls are the Large Waterfall (Veliki slap) of the river Plitvica at the end of the Lower Lakes, and Galovački buk at the Upper Lakes.
We will stop for lunch in the middle of the National park and after that continue walking and exploring the beauties of the lakes. After this spectacular day we will go to our villa to have dinner and drink a glass of wine recommended by our hosts.
[/accordion_item] [accordion_item title='DAY 3 BJELOLASICA – NORTH VELEBIT']
Waking up to birdsong, at the ideal temperature, with your breakfast waiting for you... Isn't this a great way to begin a day? When we are ready, there's a real adventure ahead at the mountain range Velebit. Are you ready for hiking?
Sjeverni Velebit (Northern Velebit) was proclaimed a national park for its wealth and diversity of karst forms, flora, fauna and landscapes located within a small area.
This area already hosted four areas under special protection – strict nature reserve "Hajdučki i Rožanski kukovi", botanic reserve "Visibaba", the finding site of the endemic plant Croatian Sibirea, and botanic reserve Zavižan-Balinovac-Zavižanska kosa, which also comprises Velebitski botanički vrt (Velebit Botanical Garden).
Park is a part of the International Biosphere Reserve.
Large and preserved forests are suitable habitat for large carnivores – bear, wolf and lynx. Their presence in the same area shows the preservation of the ecosystem. Men made an extensive impact on the landscape of Northern Velebit. With the creation of new habitats – pastures, ponds and dry stone walls – people enabled the survival of many plant and animal species and contributed to its biological diversity.
We will stop to have "a mountain lunch" to fill you with energy for this adventure. After exploring the mountain, we are going to our villa to have dinner, and after that spend a pleasurable evening next to the fireplace, hearing the guitar song...

[/accordion_item] [accordion_item title='DAY 5 BJELOLASICA – BRIJUNI']
Are you ready for a new national park adventure today? Our today's destination is National Park Brijuni, in Istria, completely different from everything previously seen. But, we won't talk too much, we will have our breakfast and go!
The Maker intended to shape a part of the Earth to the image of Heaven. That is how Istria came into being, like a garden covered with magnificent trees and vast meadows, washed by the deep blue sea, appealing people to a happier life. But the jealous devil destroyed his work by tearing the bag in which the angel was carrying the unused stones. Thousands of rocks scattered around the Istrian land making it a land of contrasts, gentle and rough, fertile and barren, sunny and cloudy. The desolated angels gathered the pieces of Heaven remaining among the scattered rocks and protected them by the sea waves and created Brijuni.
There is nothing else that needs to be said. Just soak in the atmosphere, stop for lunch and relax...After enjoying this breathtaking nature, flora and fauna, we are going back to our mountains, to have dinner, to rest and to regain energy for another day...
[/accordion_item] [accordion_item title='DAY 6 BJELOLASICA – PAKLENICA – SPLIT']
Unfortunately it is our last day, but we are sure that we will see you again in our beautiful country! This is our last breakfast – so, it has to be special. Your hosts wish you a nice trip to Paklenica National Park and after that a safe and pleasant journey to your homes. We hope that you will remember us and take home some nice memories of our country and people.
The Paklenica karst river canyon is a national park in Croatia. It is located in Starigrad, northern Dalmatia, at the southern slopes of the Velebit mountain range, not far from Zadar. There are two canyons: Mala (Small) and Velika (Big) Paklenica. Today there is no water flowing throughout Mala Paklenica.
Hiking is the only way to really get to know Paklenica. The Park area contains 150–200 km of trails and paths, from those intended for tourists, leading from Velika Paklenica Canyon to Manita pećina (cave), Lugarnica forest cottage and the mountain hut, to those intended for mountaineers, leading to the highest peaks of Velebit.
